Yes — for 7 days. Discarded recordings go to Recently Discarded, where you can save them to your recordings or pick up where you left off. After 7 days they’re deleted for good.

Picked the wrong moment to finish? You can reopen a recording and keep going — the new section is added to the same hike. Open the recording, tap the “…” menu, and choose Continue recording.
