On HiiKER you can create printable pdfs of sections of the map as a physical backup to your maps on the app.

There are 2 ways to print maps from the app:
Print an area of the map:

1. Open the map tab
2. Tap the options button
3. Select “Create a Print Map”
4. Select the scale you wish to print from the options at the top of the screen
5. Navigate to the area you wish to print by focussing the red dashed rectangle on the area.
6. Tap the “Create” option. 
7. Give the print map a name
8. Your print map will then begin processing and after a short time will become available to print (You can refresh the print maps list to get an update on progress)

Print a hike map:

1. Open a hike that you wish to print the map for. This can be a HiiKER hike or any custom hike such as planned and recorded trails.
2. On the overview page, tap the “More” button and select “Print Map”.
3. If it’s a multiday hike, you can select the day or route that you wish to print.
4. The hike will then load into the print map selector, allowing you to choose the scale of the print.
5. Highlight the section of trail you wish to print by focusing on the area within the red dashed rectangle (You can always create multiple print maps for long trail). 
6. Tap the “Create” option. 
7. Give the print map a name
8. Your print map will then begin processing and after a short time will become available to print (You can refresh the print maps list to get an update on progress)

💡 Top tip: Remember, you can also retrieve print maps from the HiiKER.com website, which can be easier to print as your laptop/desktop may already be connected to your printer!
