Step 1: Export your tours from Komoot
- Sign in on the Komoot website and open your Tours.
- Select the tour you want to move.
- In the options menu beside the map, select Download GPX file and save the file to your computer.

Step 2: Import your routes on the website
Where you import a file depends on what it is. The Import files window takes GPX, KML, FIT, TCX or GeoJSON files. You can add one file, several, or a ZIP.
A planned tour goes into My Planned Hikes:
- Sign in at hiiker.app and go to hiiker.app/user/hikes.
- Click Import files.
- Drop your files into the window, or click Choose files. Each route is added to My Planned Hikes.

A completed tour you recorded goes into My Recordings:
- Sign in at hiiker.app and go to hiiker.app/user/recordings.
- Click Import files.
- Drop your files into the window, or click Choose files. Each hike is added to My Recordings.

Step 3: Find your routes in the app
Hikes you import on the website sync to the HiiKER app. Open the app, check you are signed in to the same account, and tap My Planned Hikes on the Home tab.
You can also import GPX files straight from your phone:
- On the Home tab, tap My Planned Hikes.
- Tap + at the top right and choose Import hike.
- Tap Choose Files (iPhone) or Choose GPX files (Android) and select one or more GPX files.
- Tap Import Files. Each file becomes a new hike in My Planned Hikes.

Want to edit the route before you save it? On the Map tab, tap Options, then Import GPX. On Android, tap import GPX at the top of the next screen. Choose your file and it opens in the planner, where you can change it and tap Save.
Good to know
- Imported hikes are private. Only you can see them until you change their privacy.
- On the website, the Import files window takes GPX, KML, FIT, TCX or GeoJSON files: one file, several, or a ZIP. The app imports GPX files.
- A multi-day GPX file imported into My Planned Hikes on the website keeps its days: each route or track in the file becomes one day of the hike.
- If a file also contains waypoints, the planner asks what to import: Route Only, Waypoints Only or Both. Waypoints are added as hike highlights.
- Want the tours you have completed on Komoot to count towards your HiiKER stats and peak bagging? Import them as recordings instead. See Move recordings and hikes from Komoot to HiiKER.
