The Weather Overlay Maps on HiiKER can help you plan and navigate your hikes with even more confidence.

Here’s how to enable Weather maps to track temperature, rainfall, snow and other weather factors:

1. On any map page, tap on the “maps” button and switch to the “Overlays” tab.
2. Tap any of the overlay options to show data on the map.
3. Under the Weather section in the Overlays tab, you can toggle on detailed weather maps, including:
   1. Temperature
   2. Rainfall
   3. Snowfall
   4. Wind Speed
   5. Cloud Cover

These overlays work on both the Basic and PRO+ maps, offering real-time or forecasted weather conditions layered directly over your trail view.

⚙️ Custom Weather Settings

Each weather overlay comes with its own settings panel. Tap the cog icon on any overlay to open its options:

• Time selection: Choose between ▸ Current, ▸ 12 hours, ▸ 24 hours, or ▸ 48 hours forecast views.
• Unit preferences: Set the map legend and overlay to use the units you prefer:
• Temperature: °C or °F
• Rainfall / Snowfall: mm/hr or in/hr
• Wind Speed: km/h or mph

These settings help you fine-tune the map to match your needs and better visualize the conditions on your planned route.
