The search bar on the Home page searches everything: HiiKER hikes, community hikes and recordings, places, coordinates, POIs, your own hikes, recordings, lists, print maps and waypoints, plus app shortcuts. Tap a place, coordinate or POI result and the map jumps straight there. The Search tab is the map-based way to browse hikes in an area with filters.

In the app, open the hike and tap Share to get a link, a rich card for Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp, or Copy Link. Three things must be true first: your email is verified, your profile is public, and the hike itself is public — the app prompts you for whichever is missing. To share without publishing, export the route as a file instead.

Create printable PDF maps in the HiiKER app as a physical backup. Choose whole route or just the map area, page size (A5, A4, A3 or Letter), portrait or landscape, scale from 1:10k to 1:250k, and a grid projection (Mercator, OSGB, Irish Grid, NZMG or UTM). You can also add a grid, magnetic declination, scale bar, legend and sunrise/sunset times. Every map style can be printed except Hiking+ and Lidar, which are restricted by licensing.
