With PRO+ you can build printable paper maps of anywhere — a real backup that never runs out of battery. The print builder lives at hiiker.app/print-maps.
Building a print map
- Open hiiker.app/print-maps, or click Print Map on any hike, or Print hike map in the map’s Options menu — the route comes pre-loaded.
- Position the map so the area you want sits inside the page outline. Use Maps to pick a base style, including premium PRO+ styles.
- Choose your page size (A5, A4, A3, Letter), orientation, and scale — from 1:10k to 1:250k. The panel shows how much ground each sheet covers.
- Give it a title and click Print this sheet. For long routes, use Add another sheet at this spot to build a multi-sheet set, then print the whole queue.
Advance Settings
Custom your print map with a selection of additional features.
- Show grid & edge coordinates: Add your chosen grid reference and coordinates to the print map.
- Magnetic declanation: Adds a magnetic-north needle and the compass correction for this area, so map bearings match your compass.
- Scale bar: Adds the appropriate scale bar for reference.
- Legend: Adds map legend
Your print maps
Generated maps are saved as PDFs under My Print Maps in your profile, ready to download and print any time.
💡 Top tip: Grid lines and other extras can be adjusted under Advanced settings — including the map projection.
