Some Garmin devices only import the first track or route from a GPX file. Multi-day hikes usually store each day as a separate track — so your five-day adventure arrives on the device as day one only. Our free fixer at hiiker.app/garmin-gpx solves this in seconds.
How to use it
- Go to hiiker.app/garmin-gpx — no account needed.
- Drop your GPX file onto the box (or click it to choose the file).
- The tool merges all the tracks or routes into one continuous line, keeping elevation, timestamps and waypoints, and tells you what it merged.
- Under Save as, choose Track (.gpx) — what most Garmin watches and Edge devices import as a course — or Route (.gpx), which some older handhelds prefer. If one doesn’t import, try the other.
- Click Download merged GPX and load the file onto your Garmin device or into Garmin Connect. Convert another file starts again.
Good to know
- Private by design: everything happens in your browser — your GPX file is never uploaded to HiiKER’s servers.
- Downloading a hike from HiiKER? GPX (Garmin Compatible) on the Export File tab already gives you a single route, so there’s nothing to fix.
- With your Garmin account connected, Send to Garmin skips files altogether.
